Was born on 27th February 1984 in Minneapolis, Minnesota but moved to Dublin, Ohio by the age of three.
Tyler is the eldest of the three. He grew up with younger sisters, Lauren and Rachel.
He attended Dublin Coffman High School, but spent his senior year and graduated from Dublin Scioto High School. While in high school, Tyler played baseball and soccer.
